Before coming to D.A.P., in January 2016, Dr. Morris was Medical Director and Attending Physician at Pride Medical, an LGBT-oriented clinic in Atlanta, from 1999 to 2015. He is a certified HIV Specialist and Board-Certified Family Medicine Physician, with a proven commitment to medical excellence spanning 28 years of hospital and outpatient clinical experience.
While the Medical Committee of Desert AIDS Project (D.A.P.) Board of Directors was greatly impressed with Dr. Morris’ professional background, ultimately their hiring decision was based on Dr. Morris’ calm personality, which is deepened by a natural sensitivity to providing stigma-free care. They felt this would translate into a comforting manner of assurance to his patients, so they could feel confident their care was in good hands.
Whether patients come to D.A.P., – a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), – specifically for HIV Care, or are HIV-negative and looking for high-quality primary health care, Dr. Morris and his skilled staff of doctors, nurses, and assistants are here to serve the residents of Coachella Valley. Dr. Morris has an ongoing, nationwide search for his Dream Team, to help ensure D.A.P. continues offering quality health care at every stage of adult life.
Dr. Morris believes: “At the end of the day, my professional commitment is pretty simple; I want D.A.P. to provide a safe place for our patients to be well: healthy and happy.”
