Jason Graae: has starred on Broadway in “A Grand Night For Singing”, “Falsettos”, “Stardust”, “Snoopy!”, “Do Black Patent Leather Shows Really Reflect Up?”. Off- Broadway shows include “Forever Plaid”, “Olympus on My Mind”, “All in the Timing”, “Hello Muddah, Hello Fadduh (Drama Desk Nomination- Best Actor in a Musical)” and many more.
“Nowadays, probably no other performer could infuse (that song) with the manic mischief that Jason Graae, a frisky clown with a real tenor, pumped into it…” -The New York Times
“Jason Graae proves himself once again to be in the royal line of Broadway comics.” -New York Post
“By the time Graae has pulled his last inspired stunt, he’ll have convinced the crowd that there’s nothing he can’t do and no entertainment technique he hasn’t mastered. He’s got everything down, even the ability to ad-lib with the best of them at a heckler’s notice. Not that there’s ever a heckler. He’s too good at singing, dancing, playing the oboe…you name it!” -Village Voice, NYC
Snippets of Broadway – literal snips of fabric from costumes, worn in famous productions on The Great White Way – have been sent to the Desert AIDS Project campus where they are being transformed by D.A.P.’s quilting enthusiasts. They will become brand new “Broadway Quilts” as two king-sized canvases of textile art, worked by the Quilting with Pinkie group, which meets every Monday at D.A.P.
Each of these Broadway Quilts will come with its own provenance containing playbills and a diagram matching each material swatch in the quilt to the production from which it was taken. The Broadway Quilts will be auctioned or raffled during Everyday Heroes on December 1st, commemorating World AIDS Day and benefitting D.A.P.
Please fill out this form and we’ll contact you with more details about participating in this very special raffle.
