PALM SPRINGS, CA, December 20, 2012 – Once again, the members of the 100 Women annual giving program at Desert AIDS Project are making sure that holiday meals will be served and that the children of D.A.P. clients will have presents to open.

“This is one of the many reasons for being members of this great program,” said Terri Ketover, chair of the 100 Women Committee at D.A.P. “We are overjoyed to know that these $40 food cards and $25 Target gift cards will help to make the holidays a little happier and provide a reason to look forward to a healthy New Year.”

David Brinkman, CEO of D.A.P., adds “I’m not surprised – but I am grateful – for this annual generosity on the parts of our 100 Women members. They truly see helping others as an essential part of their lives’ work and we are so happy to have them in our corner at a time of year when there is so much need.”

100 Women helps meet the needs of women and children whose lives are affected by HIV or AIDS. They do this by funding gynecological services like pap smears, underwriting mammograms, and helping to ensure healthcare accessibility. Desert AIDS Project serves people living with HIV and AIDS by providing comprehensive support, including medical care, case management, and social services, like food, housing, and counseling. D.A.P. also offers free and confidential HIV testing at a number of locations throughout the communities it serves.
