Pre-party for “Bulldog’s Disco Bash” benefits Desert AIDS Project
Posted April 21st, 2011 – Press Releases
Dig out your platform shoes and head over to the Gardens on El Paseo from 4:00 – 6:00 PM on Friday, April 29, to get in the mood for twirling under the mirrored ball that evening at “Bulldog’s Disco Bash” at the McCallum Theatre. Participating restaurants and businesses, including The Gardens – El Paseo Village, Saks Fifth Avenue, Jeffrey Allen Salon and Sullivan’s Steakhouse, will keep the food, drink, and fun coming – the $4 per beverage ticket price all benefits one of radio personality Bill “Bulldog” Feingold’s favorite causes, client services at Desert AIDS Project.
You’ll be completely ready to get your groove on once you arrive at the McCallum, for some of the best disco acts of the 70s, like The Trammps, Randy Jones of The Village People, A Taste of Honey, and Maxine Nightingale. Bill and his sidekick, Kevin, will keep you “Staying Alive” as they channel their inner John Travolta, during live cut-ins during “The Lee Rayburn Show” on KNEWS-FM 94.3 throughout the evening.
D.A.P. is employing a number of social media venues – like Facebook, Foursquare, Yelp, and Twitter – to help volunteer “restaurant ambassadors” fill their chosen restaurants with those who want to help provide HIV/AIDS care and prevention, just by having a meal.
Desert AIDS Project is the organization in our community where people living with HIV and AIDS can receive comprehensive support, including medical care, case management, and social services. D.A.P. also offers free and confidential HIV testing at a number of locations throughout the communities it serves.
