Baccarat On El Paseo Continues Support Of Desert AIDS Project

Baccarat on El Paseo continues support of Desert AIDS Project

Posted February 23rd, 2011 –

The distinguished honorees at the Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards gala have been leaving the stage with beautiful pieces of Baccarat crystal in their hands for years. They sparkle from the mantles and trophy case shelves of people like Ann-Margret, Kristin Chenoweth, Judith Light, Bob Mackie, Barry Manilow, Bebe Neuwirth, and lots of others, including philanthropic leaders of our local community.

From February 28 through March 12, Baccarat will be supporting Desert AIDS Project in yet another way. During that time, Baccarat will donate 20% of any purchase made by a customer mentioning Desert AIDS Project.

This promotion ends on March 12 – when the 17th Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards, presented by Integrated Wealth Management, happens at the Palm Springs Convention Center. That’s the night that Dr. Luc Montagnier, Dionne Warwick, and Pauley Perrette, as well as locals Tammy Fox and Patrick Jordan, will be honored and take home a little “Baccarat bling” of their own.

Montagnier, the 2008 winner of the Nobel Prize in Medicine, will receive a Lifetime Achievement in Science and Medicine Award. With 2011 marking the 25th anniversary of recording the iconic “That’s what friends are for” with Elton John and others, Dionne Warwick will receive the 2011 Pioneer Arts and Activism Award. The 2011 New Generation Arts and Activism Award will be presented to Pauley Perrette, long-time advocate of a number of charitable causes and star of the hit TV series, NCIS.

Fox and Jordan will receive the 100 WOMEN and Partners for Life awards, respectively. Both continue to be involved in significant leadership and fundraising positions for D.A.P., volunteering their time, talent, and money.

If you’d like to support Desert AIDS Project, call 760-323-2118 for more information or tickets to the 2011 Steve Chase gala. Or if a piece of Baccarat crystal is in your future, consider buying it between February 28 and March 12.

Baccarat will also be holding two special, in-store events on Wednesday, March 2 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM and Sunday, March 5 from 10:30 AM – 1:00 PM. Baccarat is located at 73-111 El Paseo, #109. For more information, please call them at 760-346-6805.
