Find out how to live your most complete life with HIV or AIDS
The POZ Life weekend seminar – two days of healing and transformation for people with HIV or AIDS and their loved ones – is being offered free-of-charge Saturday and Sunday, March 8-9 from 8:30 AM – 7:00 PM at Desert AIDS Project, 1695 N. Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
Taking an interactive and nonjudgmental approach, the seminar aims to provide emotional support while educating and building new communities among its attendees. A typical weekend seminar will provide presentations on topics as diverse as health care, well-being, and spirituality. These presentations and support group breakout sessions are facilitated by volunteers with impressive credentials.
Topics to be covered at the POZ Life weekend seminar in Palm Springs include: HIV and Nutrition, Sex and Intimacy, Insurance and Public Benefits, Drug Interactions, Art Therapy, Understanding Your Lab Reports, Massage for Wellness, Drug Treatment Options, and much more.
“We are so happy that The Life Group LA is bringing this workshop to Palm Springs and that we can provide the meeting place for our clients and others whose lives are being impacted by HIV or AIDS,” said David Brinkman, Executive Director of Desert AIDS Project. “People who have attended the POZ Life seminar have had remarkable things to say about the effect the weekend has had on their lives. Some of them have made new friends that understand their issues and provide them with a new kind of personal support group.”
