AIDS PROJECT SEEKING VOLUNTEERS
FOR VOTER REGISTRATION DRIVE
(PALM SPRINGS, CA – September 28, 2006) The Desert AIDS Project Legislative
Action Committee is looking for volunteers to
help with a voter registration drive through October
23 at bars, Revivals Resale Marts, Desert AIDS
Project, other public venues and D.A.P. events
throughout the Coachella Valley.
“We’re really getting down to the
wire, as Election Day is just a little more than
a month away” says Desert AIDS Project’s
Peer Advocate Ric Campbell, who is spearheading
the voter registration drive. “It’s
vital that as many people as possible not only
register to vote, but follow through and make
their voices heard on Election Day, Tuesday, November
7.”
Volunteers will receive orientation in proper
registration procedures and will be supplied with
forms and informational materials. For additional
information about voter registration or to volunteer,
contact Ric Campbell at 760-323-2118, ext. 239,
or rcampbell@desertaidsproject.org.
