Desert AIDS Project seeks to meet the needs of all people living with HIV/AIDS, accepting a wide variety of public and private insurances, offering sliding fee scales, and linking uninsured, low-income clients to financial assistance and subsidized programs.

Paying for Services at Desert AIDS Project

Be sure to discuss payment options in depth with your case manager. He or she will be able to provide you with all the details on payment and billing procedures.

Here is a list of ways to pay for services at Desert AIDS Project including:

  • Private Insurance (other than HMO)
  • Medicare
  • Medi-Cal
  • Ryan White Part A
  • Self-Pay – cash, check, or credit card

Co-pays may also be paid with cash, check, or credit card.

Sliding scale available for some low-income individuals.

Did you know that Health Care Reform now makes it possible to have insurance despite having HIV, what was often termed as a "pre-existing condition"? You may already qualify for California's Pre-Existing Condition Insurance Plan. Click here for more information and to find out how to apply.
