Holistic HIV Care

Community Center

Desert AIDS Project's Community Services Wing, also known as the Community Center, houses many activities and programs including arts and crafts workshops, bingo and movie nights, a lending library, and "drop in" hours when clients come in to just hang out with their friends. The Community Center is also host to educational programs and classes designed to increase health literacy and empower our clients to participate in their own care. Listed below are this week's featured events, but be sure to check out the complete Community Center Schedule for our recurring programs and drop-in hours.

Is it time to stop smoking?

The American Cancer Society identifies smoking as the leading cause of lung disease, including C.O.P.D. Smoking is no longer cool anymore. It is not financially practical! And more and more people are totally turned off by smoking, even if it is their own habit. So maybe it's time to quit?

New smoking cessation class begining September 2! Classes to be held 1PM Tuesdays and Fridays for the month of September. Sign up now so we can get started! Call Ray to sign up or just show up to the first class when the dates are posted.
