On Thursday, April 27, 2006 you can help support the over 2,500 clients of Desert AIDS Project by simply dining out. Participating restaurants throughout the valley will be donating a portion of their proceeds on this one day to help D.A.P. meet the needs of our clients.
When you enter a participating restaurant on Thursday, April 27, you will be met by a D.A.P. volunteer ambassador who has adopted a restaurant for the evening. Your ambassador will extend the thanks of our agency and offer you an opportunity to enter a drawing for wonderful prizes. It’s a great way to plan an evening out for family and friends and support Desert AIDS Project.
Desert AIDS Project is proud to be bringing this 15 year old event to the desert. In 1991 Dining Out for Life® was created by an ActionAIDS volunteer in Philadelphia. In 1993, ActionAIDS made it an international event offering licenses to AIDS Service Organizations around the country. Since Dining Out for Life International's founding the event has grown throughout North America and is now produced in over 33 cities, raising AIDS awareness and desperately needed funds.
