• Our Citizen Green program will let you register for the Walk, ask for and track donations, and communicate with other Walkers — all online.
  
  
• On Saturday, October 25, we’ll thank you for Going Green with your registration by providing dedicated check-in and a Citizen Green pin.
  
  
• The registration and rally area of the 2008 Walk will be partially powered by solar.
  
  
• Recycling bins will be everywhere that day, including along the Walk route.
  
  
• Water stations will be used this year, instead of bottled water, to reduce plastic.
  
  
• All promotional materials will be printed on recycled paper and distributed in re-used folders and in bags made from recycled material.
  
  
• All Walk appreciation gift s will be made from recycled or sustainable materials and/or be recyclable. All Walk sponsors will be asked to contribute the same.
  
  
• The Walk will encourage carpooling and public transportation to the event.
  
  
• The event location will have an educational center for sustainability, with a focus on personal health and the health of the world we live in.
  
  
• We will be featuring exhibits that highlight the health and wellness options provided to Desert AIDS Project clients, as well as healthy living information that is applicable to anyone.
  
  
• We will also off er information and products designed to help improve our environment to all Green exhibitors in the Walk Village.
  
  
• Vendors off ering food will be asked to use only containers and food utensils of recycled and/or sustainable materials.
  
  
• The Desert AIDS Project believes a healthy world promotes healthy clients. And a greener world is healthier for everyone!
